Practitioner apprenticeship

Learn to let books come into being.

A one-on-one apprenticeship in the Unwriting Method™, shaped inside Youri's ongoing work with writers and practitioners. For practitioners, not students.

Two paths

Which path is yours?

The same craft, for two different futures. Choose one to see what it looks like, or read both.

Path 1 · Lasting client work

Ever thought about writing a book?

Your clients have, too.

So have your colleagues and friends. Some are already trying. Most are stuck. You might already notice clients sharing ideas that could be chapters in a book, or businesses longing to communicate more naturally.

You could be the one who helps them bring it to life, and conclude your trajectories with something that lasts.

Unblock your clients

Help them move from hesitation to a book or a clear offering.

Evolve your practice

Bring new depth, and attract clients who want to express their work.

Offer something tangible

Close your programs with a book, an offering or both.

You might recogniseWhat begins to move
Your clients have ideas worth sharing, yet you're unsure how to help. You confidently guide them in giving their work a living form.
You see the power of writing for your clients but lack a way to support it.You gain a framework that makes unfolding clear and applicable.
Your work serves people well, yet feels too contained. You open it up, so depth takes visible form.
You want your work to express presence rather than performance. You translate awareness into something tangible and lasting.

The six forces to attract clients: direct dialogue, natural mention, easy discovery, fictive branding, facilitated finding and gentle collab
  • The B-3 model: book, business and foundation as one field
  • The six forces: dialogue, discovery, finding, collaboration, mention and branding
  • Individual sessions to refine what's emerging

Both together form the full six-month practitioner training. You apply everything directly, to your own book or business or alongside a client, so you experience each step from within.

Path 2 · Books as your profession

Writing as your profession

Learn the craft from inside the work.

You don't want books as a by-product of another profession. You want them to be the profession: carrying other people's books from first conversation to publication.

You build a book practice the way Youri built his: path by path, starting with a collective book, each path helping to fund the next. You work side by side with Youri in real trajectories.

First, the foundation

01

The way of working

Architect, builder and player. Every project is a book with an end, all under one roof.

02

The toolkit

The eight principles behind every book, including how to state your proposition on LinkedIn.

Then, your own mix of paths

Youri walked every one of these paths himself. Not to blind yourself on one income stream, but to find the balance that fits you.

The heart of the method

Six openings to free a book.

Whichever path you choose, this is the framework you learn to work with: six ways of seeing that a book is already there, and how to open each one with a client.

Self-paced · In preparation

The DIY apprenticeship

A lighter version of the same apprenticeship, to walk at your own pace in a learning community.

  • Exercises and real client examples
  • Learning alongside other practitioners

Interested? Mention it in your orientation call, and you’ll hear first when it opens.

Who you work alongside

Youri Hermes, developer of the method.

Author of two book trilogies and developer of the Unwriting Method™, a framework born from guiding writers and professionals to let their work emerge naturally. He previously trained practitioners in self-less coaching, rooted in nondual principles.

Some people resonate with Youri's way of guiding. Others will resonate more with yours. That's why the method exists: so these principles can live through many voices.

Questions

How does the training work?

It combines guided study, live practice and personal mentorship: video lessons, exercises and resources, with individual guidance throughout. Each phase builds from applying the method yourself to guiding others. After completion, you're certified to apply it in your own work.

Which path suits me?

If you want to keep your profession and add books to your client work, choose lasting client work. If you want writing itself to be your profession, choose books as your profession, starting with a collective book and growing into ghostwriting, mentoring and more. Not sure yet? We find out together in the orientation call.

How do practitioners use it?

Some integrate it into their coaching or mentoring. Others offer it as a standalone four- or six-month trajectory, bring it into groups and workshops, or use its principles for other forms of expression, like podcasts, courses and talks.

What's the tone of the training?

Spacious, steady and alive. It invites close attention and steady practice, with clear guidance and room to find your own way of working. A professional space where learning and depth come together.

Let these principles live
through your voice.

The apprenticeship is by invitation. It starts with a free orientation call.
